Circuitous
Some of the best journeys are those taken on the ‘scenic route.’ As Doctor Who once said (in his 3rd incarnation) “A straight line may be the shortest distance between two points, but it is by no means the most interesting.” *
Like a circuitous journey, this piece took some time to develop into its final shape. The centerpiece came to be, and sat patiently in the stash for a while before the inspiration came for the neckpiece. It’s made up of bits and bobs picked up along the way – a serpentine bead here, opal there, with chalcedony, jasper and finally the beautiful handmade lampwork bead from Juiceglass.com – a local Portland artist. These are all bound and wound together with solid copper and the 17 inch neckwire clasps simply in the front.
Please convo me with questions about this or any of my pieces.
